This was a very humbling course, especially given that the matn is a primer. There was a wealth of discussion into the nuances of specific topics, divisions of sub-topics and related benefits. As I told Sheikh Omar, taking this course felt as if I've never read a book on the topic of hadith ever before. So in summary, I've come away with a far greater appreciation for our scholarly tradition and it's intricacies. Where previously I held a high regard for it in abstraction, I can now say with a level of certainty that the breadth of this field is far more substantial than popularly imagined - especially in the West.

I can not recommend this course enough to any aspiring students with an interest in the traditions of the Prophet - salla Allahu alayhi wa salam.

This course isn’t just mursal information—it’s a muttaṣil journey into the depths of ḥadīth nomenclature! From ṣaḥīḥ principles to uncovering ʿilal in narrations, every lesson strengthens your isnād of knowledge.

The shaykh's explanations are thiqa, making even complex topics maqbūl and ensuring no student feels majhūl. The case studies are far from shādh—they’re a perfect way to apply what you learn and avoid mawḍūʿ misunderstandings.

Whether you’re a ṭālib al-ʿilm just starting your journey or already have some taḥammul of ḥadīth, this course is an absolute mustahabb—or rather, wājib for anyone serious about understanding the science behind prophetic narrations. If you want your understanding of ḥadīth to be maqbūl rather than munkar, don’t miss out on this opportunity!

This is an incredibly insightful and informative course. Every student should seize the opportunity to learn Hadith and its related sciences, regardless of whether they’re a beginner or an expert. This course is a valuable resource for both! I particularly appreciate how every term in the science of Hadith is followed by a practical example, making the content extremely applicable. There are also moments when the Sheikh shares meaningful and heart-touching advice, which not only motivates students like myself to continue learning but also provides guidance on the well-paved path to becoming a true student of Hadith.
