Mukhtasar al-Qudūrī: Qism al-‘Uqūbāt

This class continues to discuss the five kinds of homicide. It begins by completing the discussion on intentional and quasi intentional homicide, further elucidating on the differences found between Abu Hanifa and his two students definitionally and its practical ramifications. The class then continues to discuss unintentional homicide, both in intent and in act, and ends off with the last two kinds of homicide, quasi unintentional homicide and homicide by accidental cause and all their respective consequences. It also discusses the beauty of Islamic legislation and the lack of rigidity found in divine law as is found in some man made systems, while emphasizing the role forgiveness plays even in circumstances such as murder.
