This class delves into the matter of why a parent is not taken in qisas in lieu of their child, and a master for his slave, while pointing out that this does not entail murder in these scenarios is permissible, rather, honour killings are unequivocally forbidden in Islam. It continues to discuss that qisas is only ever exacted with a weapon, regardless of the method of the murder. It then discusses that inflicted injuries leading to fatality are treated as homicide and the individual who lead to the eventual death is liable for qisas. It ends off by mentioning that qisas in limbs and body parts is only ever exacted if equality and similarity can be entirely upheld and ensured, as in the scenario a limb is cut from the joint, like a hand from the wrist. Otherwise, like a hand being cut from mid-forearm, since equality cannot be ensured if qisas were exacted from this same area, another form of recompense is resorted to aside from qisas.
