Mukhtasar al-Qudūrī: Qism al-‘Uqūbāt

This class covers the idea of the mukhtasar tradition in Hanafi Fiqh which the mukhtasar of al-quduri falls into, and its relationship to the mutun tradition. Then the importance of studying such chapters found in the books of fiqh that may be deemed theoretical in nature as opposed to the seemingly more practical ones and our duty to preserve the understanding of these chapters by virtue of them being from the noble shariah. The class then dives straight into the chapter of jināyāt, covering two kinds of homicides, that is, intentional and quasi intentional, along with the definitional difference between imam Abu Hanifa and the Sahibayn and the ramification of such in real life application. It also covers the moral and judicial consequences of both kinds of homicide.
