In our fifth lesson, we discuss the definitions of the Ism, Fi’l, and Harf. Although al-Hattab has not mentioned them in his Mutammimah, the books of Nahw have discussed them thoroughly. The explanation of the Harf is summarized from Radhi’s commentary on the Kafiyah, and the benefits of the Harf are quoted in detail from Ibn Ya’eesh’s Sharh al-Mufassal. Note: This lesson explains many of texts found in the Kalimah section within Hidayat al-Nahw!
